Without its stand, this compact
A0 / E-size scanner can be
placed on a small work surface
in a cramped, messy office.
Graphtec's functional design and quality engineering makes the CSX300 an attractive-looking product. Its traditional but compact and stylish design owes much to its predecessor, the SK200.
At just 55 lbs / 25 kg, the CSX300 is light for a large format scanner and easily carried by two people. It is compact enough to be manouvered through narrow office passageways and accommodated in confined spaces. After unpacking it from its cardboard box, we easily carried it up one flight of stairs. As no floorstand had been supplied we placed it on a small workspace in a small office for the purpose of this review (see photo).
For a large format scanner the CSX300 has an unobtrusive presence in a limited space.
The CSX300 is supplied with cleaning papers and a printed scanner manual - typical Graphtec quality and attention to detail. The printed CSX300 manual is comprehensive and helpful.
The lid is easy to raise for cleaning purposes by pressing hidden catches on the underside. The hidden lid catches might confuse some at first but once found are unlikely to be forgotten. Once raised the lid is supported by sturdy arms with an easy action that only requires the lid to be pressed down firmly to close it.
