Image Access GmbH, the manufacturers of the WideTEK range of large format scanners, have a permanent booth at CeBIT in Hanover which ran from 4th - 9th March 2008 and attracted over half a million visitors. Deborah Ingendoh, Strategic Business Development Manager of Image Access GmbH, Wuppertal, Germany, sent us the following report.

"Our new booth in Hall 3 of the fairgrounds proved to be an even better location that the one we had previously, in terms of visitor traffic. The booth itself was bright, airy and expansive and gave everyone the feeling that we had much more space for demonstrating products. Most visitors we spoke to came from Europe, a few from Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

"Along with our partners ImageWare and ALOS, we demonstrated our wide format scanning products to literally thousands of visitors over the 6 days of CeBIT. We had five Image Access devices on display at the show. The WideTEK 36 and the new 42 and 48 large format scanners were the real draw for customers. We also displayed our new WideTEK 25 flatbed scanner with touch screen, as well as the smallest scanner in the family, the WideTEK A3. Image Access had a terrific response from CeBIT visitors.

"The general impression I got from most of the demos I did on the WideTEK 36, 42 and 48s was that visitors were astonished by the speed and quality of the scans -- so much so that they often thought we couldn't have really scanned in that short a time. So, we used post-it notes which we let them stick on the source document to prove that we weren't just displaying an already scanned image.

"The resulting comment was "WOW!" and "Unbelievable!"

"In addition to many excellent leads, we also had several visits from the press, from local radio stations and trade magazines all the way up to our regional television news team, who interviewed Thomas (Ingendoh) and produced a very complimentary, positive report on Image Access and our products. We had the feeling that they were truly impressed."
