Scanners4CAD Large Format Scanner Comparison Chart

Widecom is not listed in our Wide Format Scanner Comparison Chart even though we requested and received information from them for this.

The advice we received from Widecom on 24th September 2007 was that "www.widecom.com is an excellent resource on information, specification on all other relevant information about the complete range of Widecom Products".

A PDF brochure on Widecom products was attached to this email. On examination it appeared to us to be extremely out of date. It made comparisons with redundant Contex and Colortrac products from the tail-end of the 20th Century, products that have been replaced by new models two or three times since! Nothing serves to show how out-of-date Widecom scanners are than Widecom's own self-inflicted comparisons.

After receiving this redundant comparative information, we decided that Widecom wide format scanners were not up-to-date enough to warrant inclusion in the Scanners4CAD Large Format Scanner Comparison Chart. Should Widecom update its wide format scanners, Scanners4CAD will update this chart to include them.
