Allied Images to distribute Mutoh DrafStation Printers

Allied Images has announced their appointment as UK & Ireland distributor for the Mutoh DrafStation series of professional CAD inkjet printers. Designed for CAD and mapping applications, DrafStation will also deliver photo-quality prints at up to 2880 dpi.

Allied Images has many years experience in supplying the CAD/GIS and Design/Print markets and see many opportunities for DrafStation as a fast, high-quality, large-format printer. Also, there is excellent synergy between DrafStation printers and Colortrac’s SmartLF series scanners, for which Allied Images are exclusive UK distributors, enabling us to offer multi-function printers at an exceptional price.

DrafStation RJ-900 is 42” (A0+) wide and incorporates a new generation “wide model” print head (4 colour sections, 360 nozzles per colour) that gives the highest resolution – 2880 dpi. DrafStation delivers drawings with superior line sharpness and photo-quality images with continuous tones, smooth transitions and a wide colour gamut.

Offering various print resolutions for different applications, DrafStation delivers high speed 360 dpi A0-size output in 91 seconds, making it the fastest CAD printer currently on the market. The CMYK printer is delivered with special black pigmented ink offering excellent UV stability and enabling the production of superfast draft plots on low-cost media.

DrafStation is easy to install, comes with both a Windows system driver and a dedicated AutoCAD HDI driver, and offers unequalled operator friendliness.

Steve Morin, MD of Allied Images said “Allied has been selling scanning and imaging solutions for almost 18 years. By adding Mutoh’s DrafStation to our product range we will be able to provide a competitively priced large format printer which can outperform its competition. Also, we will offer end-to-end scan-to-print and fully-featured large format digital copy solutions for documents up to 42” width.”
