Graphtec updates the IS200Pro-LC Image Scanner to include 8-Bit color

Graphtec America Inc. has introduced the IS200Pro-LC model, now enhanced with 8-Bit Color. Based on the IS200Pro monochrome scanner with an optical resolution of 600 dpi and (software interpolated) resolution up to 4800 dpi, the IS200Pro-LC will also support 8-Bit color for applications where limited color scanning is necessary.

With automatic document size detection, the IS200Pro-LC detects document sizes from ISO A4 to ANSI E, and is ideally suited to applications for CAD, architectural drawings, and applications with limited color lineart, etc.

Graphtec's large format scanners employ Contact Image Sensor technology, using an array of LEDs as the light source, positioned in a staggered pattern across the width of the scanning bed. This approach eliminates lens distortion (inherent in other scanners utilizing CCD technology) and also eliminates stitching errors. Contact Image Sensor technology results in much sharper edges, clearer lines and reduced corona effect.
