Image Access Announces Company's Largest Product Launch at CeBIT 2008

WideTEK36 - truly child's play to
operate due to the newly
developed touch screen.

In the largest product launch in the history of the company, Image Access will present a full range of wide format scanners at CeBIT 2008. The wide format scanner WideTEK 36 was already a highlight at CeBIT last year.

Named "the fastest wide format scanner in the world" by BERTL, (the independent American test laboratory), the WideTEK 36's highly rated design and functionality made it a perfect prototype for the development of two new sheet feed wide format scanners, the WideTEK 42 and WideTEK 48. Rounding out the product family, the WideTEK 25 is the latest addition to the company's palette of flatbed scanners, scanning document widths up to 25 inches.

"Responding to the success of our high performance wide format scanner WideTEK 36, Image Access has extended the product family to include new scanners for formats between 25 and 48 inches", CEO Thomas Ingendoh summarized.

All of the new WIDETEK scanners feature the latest generation of the technologically advanced, operating system independent Scan2Net® platform. Introducing a practical new concept in wide format scanning, Image Access has further enhanced all newly released scanners with a touch screen on which operators have control over nearly all functions and parameters of the device. Operators can enjoy the benefits of true walk-up scanning through the use of the touch screen and integrated walk-up scanning software. They can see the scan results on the attached screen without the need for a client PC. Walk-up scanning enables operators in a department or an entire company to share the device and scan their image to an FTP server, any Windows network drive, a network printer, an eMail server or even a USB stick.

The WideTEK family is outfitted with the most modern camera technology utilizing CCD systems and scans in true optical resolution of 1200x600 dpi.

ideal solution for scanning of large format
and bound documents up to DIN A2.

Equally as impressive as its larger brothers and sisters, the WideTEK 25 offers double the optical resolution of its predecessor, the WideTEK A2. Like all members of the WideTEK family, it was designed to encapsulate all optical components in a hermetically sealed camera box, making it not only dust-free but also very low maintenance. Cleaning the mirrors and the mechanics is no longer required. Visitors to CeBIT can also see the smallest member of the family, the WideTEK A3 flatbed scanner.

Image Access software tools have been developed or reengineered to provide operators with professional production scanning solutions for nearly every requirement. Batch Scan Wizard was extended to incorporate new functionality including selectable cut-outs of images to be scanned, variable configuration of bookfold correction or setting hot keys to start commonly used functions. With Scan2Edit, users scan directly into their favorite graphics application for post-processing, without having to store the image first and reopen it in the application. Scan2Edit also enables users to virtually modify the image by changing scan parameters without having to rescan the image. The online tool, Scan2ICC, enables users to configure and store an individual ICC profile, tuned especially for the user's Scan2Net® scanner.

Innovative new products are not the only thing new from Image Access at CeBIT 2008. This year, Image Access will present their solutions in a completely new location at CeBIT, in the DMS Hall 3, booth C30. Partners at the Image Access booth, Alos GmbH and ImageWare Components GmbH, will present their know-how in scanning, copying and post-processing of large format originals, valuable books as well as modern document management systems.
