Image Access unveil WideTEK 36 A0 scanner at CeBIT 2007

Large Format Scanner WideTEK 36 - Setting New Standards through Performance, Quality and a Highly Competitive Price!

CeBIT, Hall 1, A40 from 15th to 21st March 2007.

Image Access GmbH from Wuppertal, Germany, a leading scanner manufacturer in the professional digital imaging market, will present a palette of both newly developed and enhanced products at CeBIT 2007 in Hannover.

Taking center stage will be the newly developed WideTEK 36 large format scanner with up to 1200 x 600dpi optical resolution. This extremely fast but quiet 36” A0 colour scanner combines user-friendliness, design for production environments and compact dimensions in a new class of scanners.

Included in the introductory price of € 9.999 (GBP £6995 excl.) are the floorstand, software and all accessories, making this A0 scanning solution not only a high-end technology product but also a highly competitively priced solution as well.

Image Access’ successful range of WideTEK A2 and WideTEK A3 flat bed scanners have been updated to be RoHS and Energy Star compliant, as are all Image Access products. Starting immediately they will be shipped with a number of new functions at no extra cost. All Image Access scanners feature the innovative, unique but proven Scan2Net® technological platform.

Image Access’ high profile presence at CeBIT yet again demonstrates their international competence in scanning technology. With the large format scanner WideTEK 36, now completely redeveloped and suitable for formats up to a width of 36 inches (915 mm), Image Access introduces a further device into the WideTEK product series, thereby defining a new class of scanners.

By implementing state of the art illumination using super luminous white LEDs, superb scan results are guaranteed. In addition, the extremely low noise level coupled with high throughput speed and a long lifetime without the need for maintenance clearly defines the WideTEK product family as best in class. Even after 1,000,000 scans, your scanning operation will be highly economical and efficient due to the fast scan speed, dust-protected optical elements, long-life illumination and nearly no consumables.

Special transport wheels with individually mounted, spring loaded ball bearings secure placement of the scanned document during transport to ensure the best and most gentle document throughput for originals up to 3 mm thickness. The automatic width detection allows the operator to pass even the most delicate documents through the middle of the scan table, eliminating the danger of torn or ragged edges caused by paper guides.

An innovative adjustment compensator, with which the user can determine the amount of pressure between document and glass plate, transports delicate documents with the highest degree of protection during the scan operation. A highly compact device considering the possible scanning width; the WideTEK 36 is outfitted with a touch screen, providing operators control over nearly every function – literally at their fingertips.

With the WideTEK A3 and WideTEK A2 production-capable flatbed scanners for formats up to DIN A2 size, Image Access is setting new standards in production speed and image quality. The WideTEK A3 needs only 4 seconds to scan a document up to A3 in size at an optical resolution of 600 dpi. Even more flexible, the WideTEK A2 flatbed scanner allows for an exact configuration of the resolution, selectable in 1 dpi steps up to 600 dpi.

With a high life expectancy of several million scan operations, the WIDETEK devices far exceed that of competitive products on the market.

All WideTEK scanners are built on the Scan2Net® platform. Scanners running on this innovative but proven platform require only a network connection and can be operated using any standard web browser, operating system independent, further protecting your investment.
